Test Prep (SSAT)

If the cost of go-karting is S dollars for the first ten laps and T dollars for every additional lap after that, how many laps in a go-kart would you do before you found yourself an SSAT tutor?

Percentages and scalene triangles and graph coordinates. Words like obdurate and nefarious and, ironically, laconic. Studying for the SSAT can feel overwhelming. This three-week course will prepare test-takers by helping them build vocabulary, accelerate reading speed, and master topics in algebra, geometry, probability, and more. Through daily lessons, Jeopardy!-style games, and math races, students will learn to identify question patterns and think strategically about question wording and test pacing.

Throughout our program, students will sit for two full-length practice exams; after each, our experienced instructor will offer constructive feedback and targeted lessons that focus on areas of improvement.

The SSAT Test Prep course takes place in the afternoon; the middle level will run during afternoon block one (12:15-1:45 p.m.) and upper level will run during block two (2-3:30 p.m.).
