Roxbury Latin Basketball Clinic
In this four-day clinic, athletes ages 8 through 15 will develop primary offensive skills, learn new techniques, and build confidence in dribbling, passing, and shooting through drills, camp challenges, and competitive 5-on-5 games. Athletes will also work on general physical fitness through strength and conditioning work each morning. Throughout the week, various guest lecturers will provide special programming focusing on skill acquisition, growth mindset, and more. The clinic will culminate in playoffs as well as championship games of knockout and more. This clinic will set young athletes up for success for competition in their coming basketball seasons.
Our experienced coaching staff offers continuous instruction and feedback while ensuring a safe, fun, challenging environment for young athletes to develop. We will run separate clinics for boys and girls. The coaching team for the boys will be led by Roxbury Latin’s head Varsity Basketball coach, Sean Spellman; he is joined by collegiate players as well as current and former members of the Roxbury Latin varsity team. The girls clinic will be run by Kristina Baugh, the Head Women’s Coach at UMass Boston. Kristina led the UMass Boston team to its first ever Little East Conference Championship win in the school’s history. She played for Providence College and served as a DI Assistant Coach for eight years. She will be joined by a team of college coaches and players.
